Monkeys DO show Empathy
First of all we need to know what empathy is. Empathy is the experience of understanding another person’s condition from their perspective. You place yourself in their shoes and feel what they are feeling. Empathy is known to increase prosocial (helping) behaviors. Now, scientists have found that it is not just you humans that have it. We monkeys do too, and that is vital in a tight nit group.
